    are any of the songs on “Songs from the Big Chair” actually about chairs? I guess I will have to give Tears for Fears the Furniture-Related Lyrical Content Appraisal.

    Richard and Linda Thompson’s “Jet Plane In A Rocking Chair” is pretty great. (( ) Also Nick Cave’s “The Mercy Seat,” which I think is about the electric chair.
